Inteloci (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website inteloci.com and provides location intelligence assessment services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: Email address, name, and company name when you create an account or purchase an assessment.
  • Assessment inputs: Property addresses, business type selections, square footage, asking rent, lease type, concept descriptions, and site quality ratings you enter into our assessment form.
  • Payment information: Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details on our servers. We receive a transaction confirmation and the last four digits of your card from Stripe for order records.
  • Communications: Any information you provide when contacting us for support.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, assessment IDs generated, and timestamps.
  • Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies to maintain session state. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. See Section 7 for details.

Information from Third-Party Sources

Our assessment pipeline queries public data sources on your behalf to generate reports. This data is about locations and markets, not about you personally. Sources include:

  • U.S. Census Bureau (demographics)
  • Bureau of Labor Statistics (employment data)
  • Walk Score (walkability ratings)
  • Google Places (competitor business listings)
  • OpenStreetMap (geographic data)
  • OpenRouteService (drive-time calculations)
  • RentCast (property data and rent estimates)

We cache this geographic and market data in our database to improve response times. This data is not personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide our services: Generate location assessments, competitor scans, and startup guides based on the addresses and business types you submit.
  • Process payments: Complete transactions through Stripe and deliver purchased reports.
  • Communicate with you: Send assessment results, purchase confirmations, and respond to support requests.
  • Improve our services: Analyze usage patterns to identify bugs, improve accuracy, and develop new features. We do not sell your data for this purpose.
  • Comply with legal obligations: Maintain records as required by tax and business regulations.

We do not:

  • Sell your personal information to third parties.
  • Use your data for targeted advertising.
  • Share your assessment inputs or results with other users unless you explicitly request it.
  • Use your data to train AI models.

3. How We Share Your Information

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

Legal Requirements

Business Transfers

If Inteloci is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our website before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
  • Assessment data: Assessment inputs and results are retained indefinitely to allow you to access your reports. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Payment records: Transaction records are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.
  • Cached geographic data: Market and competitor data is cached per our data freshness schedule (7-365 days depending on data type) and refreshed automatically.
  • Server logs: Automatically deleted after 90 days.

5. Data Security

We implement the following measures to protect your data:

  • All data in transit is encrypted via TLS (HTTPS).
  • Database hosted on Supabase with encryption at rest.
  • Payment processing handled entirely by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified). We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Access to production database is restricted to authorized personnel only.
  • API keys and secrets are stored as environment variables, never in source code.

No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated policy on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.
  • Sending an email notification to registered users for significant changes.
